Richard B. Cheney a notable businessman and public servant is vice-president of the United States. Cheney a familiar face on the Washington political scene has been a part of several U.S. presidents George W. Bush is his fourth elected official. Bush picked Cheney in July 2000 as his running mate. Bush praised Cheney's wisdom and judgement. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, was a Member of Congress and secretary of defence. Both Republicans as well as Democrats respect him for his integrity. Cheney declared that his job as a Bush adviser administration is to serve as a quiet but reliable advisor. Cheney said that when he accepted the Republican nomination to vice-president Cheney was looking forward to working alongside President Bush who will work across political lines and also with rival political parties to achieve common objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney is the child of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, on the outskirts of Lincoln Nebraska. Cheney moved in Casper, Wyoming with his family when he reached the age of 13. His dad, who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district of Casper.
