Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished businessman and public servant, is vice president. Cheney is a prominent figure within Washington politics has worked under four presidents from the United States. Dick Cheney is a former chief of staff to an American President. He was also a member as a member of Congress as the Secretary of Defense. Cheney has accepted the Republican vice-presidential nomination in 2007, stated that his hopes were for working with a president that will reach all across the political spectrum to engage with opposition with confidence and to achieve a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on 30 January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he turned 13 old, he moved together with family members into Casper which is located within western state of Wyoming, where his father was in charge of the local soil conservation district for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
