Richard B. Cheney is an American businessman, public servant and politician. Cheney was a well-known name in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the fourth president which he was a part of. Bush selected Cheney in July 2000 as his vice-presidential running mate being impressed by Cheney's intelligence and judgement. Dick Cheney, who served as the United States as secretary and chief of staff in the administration of a president, and also within Congress has been a great service to the nation. Republicans and Democrats alike admire Cheney due to his integrity. Cheney said he views his job as a trustworthy but discrete adviser in Bush's administration. Cheney said that when he accepted the Republican nomination for vice president, he looked forward to being a part of a president who would work across political lines to reach his objectives and collaborate with opponents with confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941 within Lincoln Nebraska. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family relocated from Nebraska to Casper where his dad was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
