Richard B. Cheney is an American public servant, businessman and politician. Cheney is a well-known figure on the Washington scene of politics and has been under various U.S. presidents George W. Bush is the fourth vice president, and is an elected representative. Bush chose Cheney to be his vice president in July 2000, citing his experience and knowledge. Dick Cheney is a former chief of the staff of a President, he served in Congress, and he was also secretary of Defense. Cheney is a man with integrity and is respected by Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney has said that the position he will play within the administration as one of a frank but discreet advisor to Bush. Cheney has accepted the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks forward to working with an administration that will strive to get things done by reaching across the partisan aisle as well as working with opposition politicians with good will and a common goals. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on January 30, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he emigrated with his family to Casper located in western part of Wyoming and his father ran the local soil conservation district for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
