Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at the Olympic contest. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci as she was only six years old. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. At her first international contest in 1972, she won the event having won three golds. When she made her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in entertainment during her teenage years in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the entertainment business as a teenager. She began her career as figure skater performing with her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating performances that were followed by musical performances.
