Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both a dental dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at the age of a stage novice. Their support was enough to combat her desire to become the first primatologist. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and achieved enormous success. When she graduated in 1998, her education, she was selected to participate in Jeunes Premiers, a French television talent-scouting program that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to embark on a professional acting career. Tautou is a pupil of the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and studied there at the age of a child she has since renounced her Catholic childhood. Now, she declares herself to be non-Catholic. As well as her acting profession she also pursued a modelling career. Also, she is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work at the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her photos are mostly about fame and celebrity. They also feature a collection of self portraits as well. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her first role in Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a global success in the field of box office, and won awards around the world. The film is still the highest-grossing French language movie on the market in US. The following year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
