April Lockhart is a born July 4th April, 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for music writing. April Lockhart wrote her first song, Different at the age 12 years old. When she was 14, April spent much time writing and honed her musicianship ability. She started writing songs with her dad and her dad in NY and LA soon after. April also included additional topics in her hit song"Take my Hand. These topics included topics for her friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thinking. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia she has gained an impressive following. As a woman born with no left hand, Lockhart is a major part of herself. However, it's not the entire tale. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but it doesn't center around the issue neither. The message? The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical bodies aren't what they appear. It's not my intention to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." My everyday life isn't directly affected by disability. I lead a normal daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. Because it's an integral part of me, it's something that's worthy of discussion. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends with regards to self-acceptance. However, she admits to going through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms.
