Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, Swanson became interested in acting as a young child. She started her career acting in commercials as an actress. In one episode, she appeared in the NBC sitcom, It's Your Turn in 1984. The big screen debut was two years after in the romance show Pretty in Pink. Swan is most well-known for her blonde hair and the breathless voice she uses. Since then Swan has been performing in the role of secondary characters. She was awarded the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or Films with a Mystery in the film Flowers in the Attic.
